When I first discovered adult entertainment, one of the starlets that I personally loved was Raylene. To this day, I think she’s a very unique person, and love her interviews. I would love an opportunity to interview her for this blog, and shoot the proverbial breeze about what is going on for her today and in the past. For this review, we are going to visit 1998 for a F.J. Lincoln directed release on Vivid Video, and it is called “As Sweet As They Come”. It is a movie that is starring Raylene, and features many other actors from the late 1990s adult video world. The stars of this release include, Kristina St. James, Randy Spears, Nick East, Peris Belau, Vince Vouyer, Inari Vachs, Teri Starr, and is about 74 minutes long. There’s a focus on sensuality up front, but you know it has more production value because it’s a Vivid Video release with a contract girl.

The opening scene, including credits starts with Randy Spears and Kristina St. James making out in front of a fireplace inside what looks like a condominium. It’s not a random warehouse set, it’s simply a condo looking area with a fireplace going. Kristina St. James asks to be blindfolded, and Randy Spears slowly brings her to getting locked up with handcuffs as well. Kristina St. James at this points looks a little older, has breast implants, is blonde, and is a bit larger than many of the other models at the time. That’s only to say that she’s built like a pin up model, where as Randy Spears plays that older man role well. The two start slowly, and then increase the passion slowly, as and eventually move from the carpet to a bed. The standard sex scene begins, with smooth jazz as the background. Spears is not a giant, he doesn’t have a big penis or anything, but more so an average one that lasts a bit longer than most. The starting blow job, however, doesn’t yield good results at first as Spears is not hard, and it seems like he needs help, before he eventually gets things up. St. James keeps her lingerie and hose on while she is blindfolded, and the music cuts in and out at times. Spears for the most part stays hard and goes through a few of the positions you’d expect, alternating speeds, and staying hard throughout. At one point going as hard as humanly possible, with St. James moaning and nearly screaming. There’s no condoms here, so it’s all raw. St. James gets really wet here, and Spears seems to do well with her overall. Throughout the scene the camera cuts to Raylene in a bubble bath pleasuring herself. Spears eventually finishes and gives a money shot on St. James face, still blindfolded, mind you, and that’s the end of the sex.

The sex scene ends and the camera goes to Raylene in a tub and she pleasures herself a little, but only for a few seconds as we move to the next scene.

We move forward and Raylene is studying at a kitchen table when Randy Spears shows up. Raylene says she has quiet sex, and Spears tells her that she’s going to be alone all weekend. The two discuss that Raylene isn’t having a great time with her lover, and the two start to discuss sex advice.

The movie, and I use the term loosely this time, shifts to Raylene and Nick East studying. Raylene starts to give Nick East a blow job, and it’s slow, the lighting is dim, and you can barely see what’s going on, but it’s passable. Mid blow job, however, the camera goes to Randy Spears, Kristina St. James, and Peris Bleau at a swingers club where he’s getting a blow job. But in true directorial fashion, the director cuts back to the house and Raylene is dancing for Nick East, in front of a fireplace. Raylene gets mad and East says he’ll never understand women.

The scene shifts again, and this time we see Inari Vachs, Terri Starr, and Vince Vouyer on a couch at the swingers club. This is just sex with Inari and Terri taking turns blowing and having sex with Vince. Vince is just a hard penis here, no sort of acting, just straight forward sex. The highlight is seeing the women actually wet, and cumming at various stages, including one point where there’s anal sex. Vouyer for his part actually gets into this one, and is hard throughout, with the women really moaning and enjoying it. The camera goes around various points, but mostly sticks to the penetration elements. One woman uses a glass dildo as well, and the set is a warehouse with smooth jazz playing underneath it all. Anal fans will love this one as it is mostly anal, towards the end of the scene. Vouyer eventually can’t hold it any longer and cums on one of the lovely lady’s vagina, and that’s the end of this scene.

Raylene is in the kitchen, and Randy Spears shows up. Raylene is topless, and Spears says he would totally have made love to her, but Kristina St. James shows up and the two don’t go any further.

The scenes move again and this time we see Nick East in front of the fireplace, and Kristina St. James comes through and asks if he wants to talk about the issues he’s having. He declines and in comes Raylene in a school girl outfit, and the two start to make out a little.

Raylene and Nick East start to kiss, and this leads to sex. This occurs in the condo setting as the first scene did, with low lighting, a fireplace going, and sensual movements. There’s smooth jazz playing again, but you see everything this time around with a bit better visualization. There’s a good amount of kissing at first, and eventually a blow job, oral, and Nick East going through the motions of sex. What makes this scene interesting is not so much the sex, which is adequate, but that the story line continues where Raylene is silent for the most part. This goes back to the conversation that she had with Randy Spears, talking about how the sex wasn’t that great. So the two have sex, she’s nearly quiet, and around the 43 minute mark you do not get any music. This is an interesting play on the story arc that is found within porn, and something that most people probably didn’t pick up on. Bravo to the director and talent here having sex as quietly as they can, to further that aspect of the script, even though Raylene’s body shows that she was tensing up, sweating, and having a great deal of fun with East. This alone makes this movie a bit better than most. If you like slow, basic eroticism, this scene will definitely get you going, especially when you start to notice what’s really going on and Raylene not acting, but rather enjoying the process a bit more than usual. She lets out one moan, and then gets on top of East, before he eventually cums in her face, and that’s the end.

The scene ends, and we are taken to a hill top where Raylene is just working out. Randy Spears is watching her, and you get a look at Raylene’s young body, a far cry from her milf body that she has now. Still as beautiful if you ask me, but different in many respects. The two start to talk, and then the scene shifts to just working out. Spears and Raylene non-sexually working out. Meanwhile, Kristina St. James and Nick East are at another part of the house discussing what is wrong with Raylene and Nick. The camera cuts back and Randy Spears makes a pass at Raylene, and the two start making out with the sunset in their backdrop.

The scene moves to Spears and Kristina St. James talking in bed, and Spears gets up to get a snack. He runs into Raylene and puts his hand down her panties, and says she’ll get at her later, but first a snack. Then Raylene and Nick east start talking and end up just studying. The scene shifts and Kristina St. James starts giving Nick East a lesson in seduction.

Kristina St. James and Nick East round out the next scene, the two starting to kiss, and James telling East to taste her, which leads to smooth jazz playing and of course, sex. The music is stellar here, while the sex is average at the start. St. James does give a good blow job, and she is wearing white lingerie and heels. She gets into the action around the one hour mark, and the two start to have sex, going doggy style first, well, standing doggy, which isn’t half bad. Nick East isn’t huge, but he sure is hard, and Kristina guides him into her several times, as she moans and plays with herself through the motions that he brings through with his hips. The ending features St. James blowing East until he cums on her, the blonde swallowing a load then sucking more, and letting East know that he did a good job. St. James is a true milf at this point with long blonde hair, and a seductive smile.

The final scene features Raylene in the bath tub when Randy Spears comes inside. She stands up, but Randy Spears says that she can stay in the water, and the two start to kiss. This is a sensual sex scene, and it starts with romantic jazz music. This end scene is only about 8 minutes long, but it has the sensuality that you would expect from the story line in this movie. I found that the story line is specific, and there’s a sensuality to the sex here. It’s a good overall sex scene, with Raylene opening up, moaning, smiling, and Randy Spears having fun with her, making this an interesting sequence of sex, with passion and more, which I liked, although it wasn’t very long.

I give “As Sweet As They Come” a 3 out of 5.

Over the course of the movie, this one only has about two good scenes. Randy Spears is the best actor in this movie, and Raylene does great too. St. James wasn’t bad, but the whole movie just isn’t that great. It’s a standard porno from the late 1990s, and if you’re not a big fan of Raylene, then you won’t like this, but if you’re a fan of plot, Raylene, and Randy Spears, then you’ll love this one. It’s adequate, not too long, and decent on a few levels, just not perfect.

Nightmare on Porn Street (1988) Review

You know about “Nightmare on Elm Street”, the classic horror franchise. But did you hear about “Nightmare on Porn Street” from 1988? No? Neither did I until I started to review movies on this site, and someone sent me a VHS copy of this masterpiece, or rather porno-piece. This is a porn movie that mixes story line, and presents you with a little schlock to go along with the sex. From the start, you can tell that this was meant to be shown on the big screen, with film grain, quality music, and overall production values that are higher quality than the average gonzo production today. The movie starts with a blonde haired woman meeting a former janitor that was killed in a fire. The movie is a porn, mind you, but there are call backs to the horror franchise at times, but the acting is obviously sub-par. If you like dialogue and story with your 1980s porno, then you’re going to appreciate what the production crew did with “Nightmare on Porn Street”.

The opening scene features Britt Morgan and Randy Spears. It’s a somewhat boring sex scene, that has some simple elements that you’d expect. It doesn’t at all have the charisma and chemistry of other porno movies, and it shows. Britt and Randy don’t have a lot of chemistry and they are just going through the motions. They have sex on a fire place, and he eventually cums on her back. There’s not a lot of moaning, and the music kind of throws me off. The set is good though, a darkened house of the serial killer.

Once the first sex scene is over, you get the cast in a class room and they are all bored. They just listen to the teacher and are falling asleep. When Brandy Wine falls asleep. She wakes up and Robert Bullock is there as the teacher and starts to massage her shoulders and neck, and you know exactly what is going to happen next, don’t you?

Brandy Wine and Robert Bullock have more chemistry than the opening sequence, and they start having sex on a student’s desk. This fulfills that teacher, student fetish for those that are out there and like that. Brandy Wine looks great, and is all natural, and Robert Bullock has some chops, with facial hair, and a good overall way of giving oral. There’s a good deal of moaning here, but at one point you see Bullock isn’t even hard, so he has to get himself there, forcing it, and throwing me off the scene. Wine keeps her heels on so that’s a bit sexy, but the scene itself is shorter than I’d liked, and the positions are generic. The saxophone music is good though, but the scene gets into a “mechanical” face fast, and Bullock has some great facial features. I was dying. Oh, and Wine is completely shaved, so that’s something. He eventually cums and you get a close up of Wine’s pubic region which has a little hair.

After the sex, out comes Randy Spears again as the villain. We also see that Wine is actually asleep at her desk!

Next up Mike Horner falls asleep at a friend’s house and when he wakes in dream world, Shanna McCullough is there with a teddy, heels, and a pearl necklace. Mike Horner looks familiar to me, and McCullough also looks somewhat familiar. Her 1980s hairstyle is hilarious to me looking back, but she has an all natural body, and long legs that really does point towards a good time. But when you see this movie, you’re going to find that Mike Horner looks a lot like an actor from “The Last Man On Earth”, and so you’ll be laughing at the premise. These two have the most chemistry together, and the sex is actually really good for the 1980s, and I was impressed. The music sounded like an Oingo Boingo remix, but the moans, the sweat and overall sex was great. I loved watching this one.

Post scene out comes Spears again and wakes Horner up in the real world! He freaks out and is comforted.

The movie continues with the same classroom and another conversation. The cast starts discussing trying to figure out what is going on, when Brandy Wine falls asleep. She is then greeted by Shanna McCullough in the dream world, and the two start having lesbian sex. This is an ok scene if you like lesbian porn, but the camera angles and the music make you kind of tired. The two don’t exhibit a lot of chemistry together and the scene is overly mechanical. It works, and the two women are pretty, but it’s kind of lackluster overall, and when it’s over, you’re glad it’s over. I’m a fan of lesbian scenes, but in this time around, it just wasn’t that great.

And now, we’re back to the classroom and we are greeted with the Freddy knockoff, Randy Spears greeting Britt Morgan again. The two do it again in the classroom this time, and this scene is just as bad as the first scene. With a few exceptions. Morgan seems to get wet here, like really wet, and Spears seems to do a little more work to make the scene bearable. Morgan’s moans sound so fake here, but the music saves the day for me. A rocking saxophone jazzy number that emulates the movements of the two performers. Britt Morgan reminds me of Stacy Valentine, with her bleached blonde hair. Spears does well for the most part but he seems to be losing his erection at one point and has to will himself hard again. I guess that’s normal for the late 1980s porn scene? The closing sex moments are good, as Spears goes into overdrive and Morgan starts to actually enjoy it a lot more. Spears gets really into it towards the end and does a lot of the work, and while Morgan’s moans are somewhat faked, they still present a good enough sound design for you to enjoy the scene. I wouldn’t say that I fell in love with Morgan, but towards the end, I kind of was fantasizing about meeting a blonde haired escort. So maybe that’s a job well done? Spears finishes on her back again, and the scene is over.

After the scene, Randy Spears is told that Morgan is in control now! Since it’s her dream, she calls the shots! Spears is made into a “one woman nightmare boogey man”, and that’s it! Morgan gets the last laugh and the credits roll! That’s it, the movie is done. They made a sequel to this, but I haven’t seen it yet.

I give “Nightmare On Porn Street” a 3 out of 5.

The premise works, and there are a few scenes that made me think about real sex, especially the Shanna McCullough scenes, as she reminds of someone, I just can’t put my finger on it. The rest of the movie was dumb, but there was enough classic parody to make me think this would’ve been a cool popcorn flick to see in porno theaters.
